Make The Most Out Of Self-Care September With Summer Hixon

Being healthy can feel like an overwhelming task. There are so many ways to take care of yourself and it can be hard to even know where to start. We all have busy lives filled with work, family, errands, chores, kids (and hopefully a bit of a social life, too). So, who has time for hours and hours of self-care?

At Chuze, we want to make it easy for you to take care of you. We know how many people depend on you at work and at home. As the saying goes, “You can’t pour from an empty cup.” Taking care of yourself is the most unselfish thing you can do. Rather than feeling overwhelmed by all the ways to practice self-care, we want to help you build a routine that makes it easy!

Give us one hour of your day, and we will give you a self-care routine that checks all the boxes for success! Building new habits can be a challenge, but taking the step to show up is the hardest part. Set yourself up for success by “stacking” the habits that make you feel good into one routine. Rather than having to motivate and discipline yourself to create multiple singular healthy habits morning noon and night, lump them into one routine that you can knock out in an hour, and save that willpower for something else!

Here’s Our One-Hour Recipe for a Self-Care Win:

Self-Care Step 1:

Cardiovascular Health. Come warm up in the Chuze Cinema on a bike, stair stepper or treadmill. Get your blood flowing for 15 minutes while you let your mind unwind with an entertaining movie.

Self-Care Step 2:

Muscle and Bone Strength. Try our Express Circuit. With pre-selected exercises and set timers, you can move through this total-body strength workout in 30 minutes — no decisions to make. 

Self-Care Step 3:

Relaxation and Recovery. Enjoy the benefits of the sauna, steam room, or HydroMassage. To “stack” this step, try a 10-minute meditation while enjoying one of these amenities. You can focus on a word or mantra, or—for a guided meditation—try out an app like Calm, Headspace, or Simple Habit

Self-Care Step 4:

Nutrition. Come to our smoothie bar, Chuze Blends, for a dose of veggies with “The Hulk” or “I Love Veggies.” Your vegetables never tasted so good!

Self-Care Step 5:

Connection. At Chuze you are more than just a member, you are family. Say hello and chat with the friendly team members and instructors. We desire to be the best part of your day and we know the energy you carry with you when you leave our doors is important. Kindness is contagious!
