- Week 2 of Self Kindness September is focused on treating yourself! There are so many reasons to treat yourself, here are a few ways we like to treat ourselves throughout the week: (1) hitting a new PR (2) setting a goal (ex: going to the gym 3x this week) and once you hit it, treat! (3) after a long day (4) just because! There are so many ways to treat ourselves, from getting a massage to getting a sweet treat, whatever makes you feel appreciated!
Sept 16th – 22nd: Community/Connection Week
Strike up a conversation with someone new, bring a buddy to your next activity, or even compliment a stranger! #BuildingHealthierCommunities
- Week 3 of Self Kindness September is all about the connections and community around us! When you need support, encouragement, or a shoulder to lean on, community is so essential to help step up and support. Here at Chuze, we love the community that is at each and every one of our clubs. From saying hi as you walk in to building a consistent group to work out with in our Group Fitness classes, there’s always someone who looks forward to seeing you when you step through our doors.
Sept 23rd – 29th: Routine Week
Morning Routines, Night Routines, Sunday Resets, Self-Kindness Regimens, Tips & Tricks to Build Habits!
- To wrap up Self Kindness September, we look at how we can continue this throughout the year with building routines. You don’t have to get everything perfect – but starting somewhere and practicing consistency is one of the biggest steps forward. Start small: make a list of everything that you currently already do and a list of things that you want to add in. Maybe you want to go to the gym one more day a week or only eat out once a week. Look at one that feels attainable to add in this week (or maybe 2 if you’re feeling ambitious). This week, try to do your normal schedule and add in that new step to your routine that makes you feel that Self Kindness. At the end of the week, check in if you were able to do that new addition to your routine (whether it’s something daily, every few days, or once a week). Start there, and then if it feels good we add on another next week! Don’t get discouraged if you ever forget – progress isn’t linear and the biggest thing is to keep going even if we forget. Progress is all about moving forward with what we learn and you’ve got this!
Our mission to further promote self-care at Chuze Fitness was born from September’s Self-Care Awareness Month and a desire to continue encouraging the practice of self-care all year long. In September 2019, we launched Chuze Self-Care and rounded up members of our team to share with you what self-care means to us. Check out the video below to see where our self-kindness journey began!
