Our Stance on Self-Care

Self-care, the practice of, well, taking care of yourself, can take on so many different forms. For some, it’s spending time outside or getting a massage. For others, it’s playing a sport or taking 15 minutes to stretch before bed. At its core, self-care means actively taking care of your mental and physical health your mind, body and spirit — in whatever form is right for you.

Often, self-care is overlooked, underappreciated or just associated with being selfish. Should you really go to yoga when there’s work to be done?  Do you really have time for that hike when the laundry is piling up? The answer is yes. By setting aside time to “do you,” you will come to know yourself better, tune-into your happiness better, and be better prepared to put your best foot forward every day. 

We at Chuze Fitness exist to show people that it’s not only okay to focus on yourself, it’s critical to your overall well-being. Whether you’re ready to work hard and break a sweat or simply come in to enjoy a sauna, have a HydroMassage and relax, we love to support you taking time to recharge.

Our mission to further promote self-care at Chuze Fitness was born from September’s Self-Care Awareness Month and a desire to continue this initiative all year long. In September 2019, we launched Chuze Self-Care and rounded up members of our team to share with you what self-care means to us. Enjoy!
