Every month, our incredible managers from each district get to join together for a day of team building. They have done everything from enjoying the San Diego County Fair, to surviving the Exodus Quake Escape Room in San Bernardino County. This time, our Tucson team set out to do something a bit different.
This August, our Tucson management team partnered with Habitat For Humanity to help build a home in The Greater Tucson Metro area. Habitat for Humanity is an organization that visualizes a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Since 1976, they have been able to help 6.8 million people improve their living conditions. That is pretty incredible! They are able to do this not only by working with incredible volunteers who are willing to donate their time, but also with corporate partners, and individual donations of money, furniture, cars…etc.
Our team arrived bright and early at 6am ready to get their hands dirty. After receiving hard hats and some instructions from the volunteer coordinators, they were able to break off into small groups and begin building. They did everything! They carried lumber, installed support beams, and even nailed up the walls. It was hard work, but our management team had a ton of fun working with each other and the future owner of the home. By the end of the day, the house began to take shape. Our team is excited to see the finished product, and help out again in the near future. We are very proud of our Tucson managers for choosing to help out the community on their team building day. If you would like to get involved with Habitat for Humanity, click here.
